Part of our core values at Eide Ford include personal development and promoting from within. We want to not just give you a job, but offer you a chance to grow into a career with a company that puts your education at the forefront.
If you could see yourself working in automotive tech, Eide has a special training program built to develop and invest in new technicians. The Eide Tech Path allows you to earn your automotive tech certification while getting real experience on the job.
We want all of our technicians to learn and develop their skills as best as possible, and we thought the best way to help with that was to provide financial and educational support as you advance your career.
To go over some of the perks of the program, we spoke to Corporate Fixed Operations Director Ryan Else.
“The Eide Tech Path is a great program for anyone looking to enter the automotive industry. Once the candidate is signed up for college we give them a part-time job to work at and train on the job at the same time.”
Else goes on to say that if grades and work ethic pass Eide standards after the first nine weeks, the program will reimburse $500 towards tuition. Students are eligible for this after each nine-week period of school up to two years — or $4,000 total.
“Once they graduate and come to work for us full time and agree to stay for at least five years, we supply them with a $5,000 tool grant. They are also eligible for a $1,000 bonus for staying with us for a year and $2,000 after three years. All in all, it is a great program”, finished Else.
While you complete your program, you’ll be working and training under an Eide Master Technician and getting hands-on experience with customers.
While working here, you’ll be learning and helping with diagnosing and repairing vehicles, test driving vehicles to test components and systems, performing more repairs as new skills are obtained, and learning to communicate with service advisors.
If you’re over 18 with a high-school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, you are eligible!
Participants in the program must also maintain good academic standing until graduation while meeting Eide employee requirements.
We aren’t just offering you a job here — we want to invest in your development as an Eide employee and encourage your growth. Watch as more opportunities come to you when you start down the Eide path!
