The GS comes with a 138-horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder engine, while the GT and SE come with a 172-horsepower 2.7L V6. GS and GT models are available with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, while the Limited is only available with the automatic and the SE models are offered only with a six-speed manual.
All Tiburon models come with electronic stability control and anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). Front seat-mounted side air bags are also standard on all Tiburons. SE models upgrade to big 12-inch front rotors and brake assist for the ABS.
The performance-oriented SE model has a significantly stiffer suspension than other Tiburons. The independent rear setup and stabilizer bars front and back provide sharp, precise handling on curvy roads.
Even the base GS model comes equipped quite well, with standard features including keyless entry, air conditioning, and a 220-watt Kenwood CD audio system that comes with a three-month XM satellite radio subscription. The touring-oriented GT model adds leather upholstery and trim, an improved gauge cluster, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The GT Limited adds flamboyant red leather seats, special interior trim, and a 440-watt, MP3-compatible sound system with a six-disc CD changer. GS models get 16-inch wheels and tires while GT, GT Limited, and SE models all get larger and wider 17-inch wheels and rubber.
