Employee of the Month: Jeremy Ness, Service Technician

Posted at Wed, Mar 15, 2017 3:01 PM

Our team takes pride in providing exceptional service to everyone who visits our dealership here in Bismarck. The word "service" means several things to us. It's one thing to change oil in someone's truck, but it's another thing to keep them coming back.

Last month, Service Technician Jeremy Ness embodied the type of service for which Eide Ford Lincoln is known. If you traded in your vehicle at our store recently, there's a good chance that Jeremy worked on it.

"He's a great member of our team here," Parts & Service Director Ryan Else said. "Jeremy does a great job, and I've never heard him complain. Any time I need something, he's always ready to help."

When Bismarck was hit with a thick blanket of snow earlier this winter, Jeremy stepped up and cleared the driveways at Eide Ford.

"He brought in his own snowblower and just went ahead and plowed it out for us," said Ryan. "That's just the kind of guy he is."

Jeremy Ness

Service Technician at Eide Ford

Eide Ford's Employee of the Month for February 2017

How long have you worked for Eide Ford Lincoln?

Jeremy: It'll be two years here in the next month or two.

What do you like about working at Eide Ford?

Jeremy: I like the variety in the Service Department. There's something new every day to work on.

You get to work on trade-ins. What does that involve?

Jeremy: We check everything from the suspension all the way down to the speakers – to make sure they're not blown out. We have detailed checklists for those newer ones – for Certified Pre-Owned – and we also have our own checklist for Eide's Risk Free Program.

How is Eide Ford different from other dealerships in the area?

Jeremy: It's a good place to do business. Everyone is friendly and nice to talk to. The techs all work together really well, too. We just help each other out with diagnosing, tools, and stuff like that.

You recently earned an automotive degree from UTI Tech. What do you enjoy about this line of work?

Jeremy: I had trouble focusing when I was in high school, but I realized soon that I never had trouble with it when I would work on cars. So, it seemed like a good thing for me to go to college for.

How do you spend your free time?

Jeremy: If I'm not working on vehicles here at Eide, I'm working on my own 2013 F-150 at home. I also work on my girlfriend's 2006 Jeep Commander. We bought both of the vehicles at Eide Ford.

Who would you like to thank for this award?

Jeremy: I'd like to thank Ryan Else and Casey Neumann for nominating me. I'd also like to thank Casey Schon, Eric Hoffman and Montie Barth.
