Eide Ford's Employee of the Month: Jamie Buchholz

Each month at Eide Ford, we select one team member as Employee of the Month. This is someone who goes out of their way to do something that not many others are willing to do, is always looking out for the entire team and all customers, and embodies the Eide Philosophy.

Jamie Buchholz, Internet Sales Specialist, is our Employee of the Month for December 2017! 

Putting Customers First in Bismarck

Casey Neumann, General Sales Manager, highlights Jamie's desire to be a team player at Eide Ford.

"Jamie was voted Employee of the Month for his willingness to always help others with anything that is necessary," Casey says. "He has an overall great attitude everyday."

December 2017 Employee of the Month: Jamie Buchholz 

How long have you been at Eide Ford, and what does your current role entail?

I've been at Eide Ford for a year, working in sales. On a daily basis, I work with clientele and help out anyone in the building. There are a lot of times when another sales guy isn't available, so I always just try to help out with customers.

I do internet sales as well;  people send in web leads and I get them on the phone to answer questions about vehicles on the lot or vehicles that are coming on the lot. 

What's your favorite part of coming to work each day?

Every day is different. You never know what's going to happen; nothing is really standard around here. You can't ever plan your day, which is fun and keeps it interesting. Whether you're helping with your customer or another sales associates' customer, it's never the same. 

Is there something that you enjoy educating customers about when they are looking for a new vehicle?

I guess as far as that goes, I come from a customer service background in the restaurant industry, so I like to put people at ease. They are often nervous when they come in to buy a car and feel like they are getting taken advantage of. I have been in their shoes, so I try to make it a comfortable and fun experience. Buying a car is supposed to be a fun, good time! 

How do you spend your free time? 

I have two daughters involved in basketball, so my wife and I spend a lot of time at basketball events. I also like being in the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. 

What's your dream vehicle?

 What I'm driving now, which is a 2017 F-150. It's the best vehicle I've ever had.

Who would you like to thank for this award? 

My managers and all of my coworkers. It's really pretty cool here  – everyone helps everyone, so I wouldn't be in this position if it weren't for my coworkers. They make me look good, and I try to do the same for them. Management always helps you succeed and are on our side. They help us day-to-day and I can't appreciate that enough.
