Each month at Eide Ford, we select one team member as Employee of the Month. This is someone who goes out of their way to do something that not many others are willing to do, is always looking out for the entire team and all customers, and embodies the Eide Philosophy.
Ben Mayher, sales consultant, is our Employee of the Month for February 2018!
If you've met Ben, you know that he has a true passion for helping people. This, combined with his incredible work ethic, is why General Sales Manager Casey Neumann says he was chosen as the February Employee of the Month.
"Ben is not only very genuine with his customers, but he is also the first person to help a fellow salesperson," Casey says.
And the numbers show that to be true – not only did Ben sell 26 vehicles in February, but Casey says he also helped many other salespeople reach their personal goals during the month.
In addition to looking out for his coworkers, Ben also has Bismarck customers' best interests in mind.
"Ben has very good follow-up with his customers, both before and after the sale. I would consider him one of the most well rounded salespeople that I have ever seen!" Casey says.
Ben doesn't just sell Ford vehicles; he stands behind their top-notch quality. In fact, the durability and safety features of his very own Ford F-150 protected his brother Brett in what could have been a life-threatening crash.
When you listen to their story, you'll see why selling Ford vehicles is more than just a job to Ben.
How long have you been at Eide Ford?
I started in April 2016, so almost two years!
What's your favorite part of coming to work each day?
I really like selling cars and helping people find the new vehicle that works for them. I get a rush from making a sale – it's fun and I get to meet new people all the time.
What is something you enjoy educating customers on when they are shopping for a new vehicle?
Leasing is something that I really like to get into and open peoples' eyes more about it. Before I started working here, I never thought of leasing as an option to consider, but now I see the immense amount of financing options available through leasing.
A prime example is when my brother was in the car wreck [mentioned above]. I was leasing the F-150 and I had only had it for 6 months and had 5,000 miles on it. Since it had gap insurance, the accident wasn't as expensive.
How do you spend your free time?
It depends on the season; I try to stay active. In the winter I play volleyball and golf at Golf Etc. I also hunt and fish, and I golf and play softball in the summers.
This year, I now have a little boy to keep me busy, so that's a big change!
What's your dream vehicle?
The new Mustang GT500 that's coming out.
Who would you like to thank for this award?
Thank you to all of our customers who have purchased vehicles from me – obviously without them, none of it is possible. Also, thanks to the sales managers, finance managers, and fellow employees since we help each other out quite a bit.
