Eide Ford's Employee of the Month: John LaFramboise

Posted at Fri, Sep 13, 2019 9:15 AM

Eide Ford's team is dedicated to providing an excellent experience for every customer, and our people are willing to help out wherever they're needed.

Exceptional employees such as these keep things running smoothly both behind the scenes and in front of customers!

We're excited to have John LaFramboise as one of our team members, and proud that he's the Employee of the Month!

Parts Department Manager Tim Kreitel nominated John for the award this month.

"He’s pretty much like my right-hand man. He just gets the job done and doesn’t back down from any challenge,” said Kreitel, who has worked with Eide for more than 20 years.

Kreitel nominated John for stepping up to handle some additional tasks while Kreitel was away.

“I was on vacation, and he filled in for me,” said Kreitel. “He just stepped in and handled some of the managerial things that needed to be handled. It was nice to not come back with a pile of paperwork on my desk. He really took the bull by the horns.”

Thank you John, for stepping up!

Meet John

Q: How long have you been with Eide Ford?

I’ve been here off and on since 2003. I started off in the wash bay and then moved up to be a technician. Then I started installing accessories, and now I’m here on the parts team

Q: What does a normal day look like for you?

It’s busy. Usually I’m running around, getting parts to techs, helping customers that call or come in, and just making sure they're all getting what they need.

Q: What is the most challenging part of your job?

There really isn’t any. [Laughs] I guess the most challenging thing for me was learning the computer system. It took me a little while to learn it, but now it’s  an everyday thing.

Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Putting a smile on peoples’ faces. I like keeping our customers happy. I just try to make their day a little better. The majority of my orders are for techs here at our shop, but we also have a lot of customers calling and coming in off the street for parts.

Q: What is a good piece of advice for someone looking for a car part?

Get your VIN number right away. That helps us narrow the search down to get exactly the right part more quickly.

Another thing is just look out for quality. I’ve tried the aftermarket stuff, but our Motorcraft stuff just lasts longer. I’ve personally had my own share of different brands, and it’s always worth the money to get the name brand part. Plus, Eide Ford stands behind these parts, and they all have a warranty.

Q: How do you spend your free time?

Working on stuff. I have my own personal shop and I’m working on rebuilding a ‘77 Ford F-150. It’s a two-wheel drive that I had picked up and I'm making it four-wheel drive.

Q: Who would you like to thank for the award?

I’d like to thank Tim. He’s the one that pushed for me. I love working with him. He’s an easy going guy. If you can’t find something, he’s the kind of guy that takes the time to help you find it.

Thanks, John, for your loyalty to your customers and dedication to our mission:

Time Saving. Hassle Free. Fair Price.

Looking for a new vehicle? From new cars to repairs, our Eide Ford team is always ready to help.
