Eide Ford's Employee of the Month: Damon Wanner

Taking on additional job responsibilities can either go really well, or really bad. In the case of Eide Ford Assistant Lot Manager, Damon Wanner, taking on extra work has proven to be a good thing. 

When Damon found out that his supervisor was going to be out of the office for an extended period of time, he took on the tasks and responsibilities of his supervisor in addition to all of his current job duties. 

Not everyone can handle additional responsibility, but Damon proved he was up for the challenge. 

“Damon is an incredible asset to our team. He’s taken on more responsibility on the lot and does it all with a smile and never says anything bad,” says Used Car Manager, Corey Rennich.

Meet Damon

Q: How long have you been on the Eide Ford team?

I started at Eide Ford in November, 2017 as a lot assistant. Now I’m working in the lot manager position. 

Q: What do you like about working at Eide Ford?

Eide is a great place to work. The people are nice, I have good benefits, and the hours are nice as well!

Q: What do you do at Eide Ford? 

I get the vehicles (mostly used trade-ins) ready for sale. This involves checking in all the vehicles every morning and writing them in for service or body shop work.  I also coordinate sending vehicles to other dealerships for recalls. 

Q: Why is Eide Ford different from other Bismarck dealerships? 

I think the people and commitment to the community set Eide Ford apart from other dealerships in Bismarck. We recently gave away a free 2019 Ford F-150 to a local veteran!

Q: What’s your favorite vehicle on the Eide lot? 

I love the Ford Mustang GT 350. The new ones are pretty slick. 

Q: How do you spend your free time? 

In addition to spending time with my family, I’m working on restoring a 1991 Eagle Talon.

Q: What’s it take to be Employee of the Month at Eide?  

Eide respects people who are hard workers. I think to be Employee of the Month, you need to step up and do what you’re asked all with a smile.
