"When America goes to war, our families go to war." That's the motto of the Wounded Warriors organization, which will be visiting Eide Ford in July.
Wounded Warriors "High Five Tour 2015" is stopping at Eide Ford LIncoln on Monday, July 6 from 6-8 p.m. Join us in honoring wounded combat veterans and their families during this special event. The Wounded Warriors' mission is "to provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. The families of our casualties suffer in many ways: some financially, some psychologically."
The "High Five Tour" stop at Eide Ford will feature two mobility-equipped vehicles — a 2015 Ford Explorer and 2015 Ford F-150 - that are visiting 65 U.S. cities to engage communities and support military families for their sacrifices. You can show your support for veterans and their families by signing one of the vehicles with a message of gratitude. The red, white and blue vehicles will travel more than 27,000 miles, making stops at car dealerships, community events, veterans’ organizations, military bases and race tracks.
In addition to raising awareness and encouraging support for our troops, the 17-week tour also raises money to support Wounded Warriors Family Support’s new “Mobility is Freedom” program, a grant program for combat-wounded veterans. These veterans are provided with vehicles adapted to suit their unique needs.
