Twin Cities Auto Show

Each year, families and car enthusiasts look forward to attending the Annual Twin Cities Auto Show, where everyone gets the chance to view more than 600 vehicles from more than 35 foreign and domestic brands.

It's a pretty awesome time, and of course, our team looks forward to attending each year! Here's what we learned and loved at the 46th Annual Twin Cities Auto Show.

This year, the show was held March 9-17. If you decide to check it out for yourself next year, there's a small admission price, but children 10 and under are free. The show is hosted by the Greater Metropolitan Automobile Dealers Association of Minnesota Inc., and takes place at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

It's a huge exhibit space – which means there's room to house a lot of vehicles, which have a combined value of $55,000,000 – wow!

The Eide Ford team sent our new car sales manager Sabrina, and three sales staff – Chris, Kim, and Joseph – to the show this year, and they're excited to share some of the highlights!

The Powerful New Edge ST and the 2020 Explorer

We've had the new 2019 Edge ST on our lot for awhile now,  and it was fun to see it highlighted at the auto show.

"The ST is a new line introduced in 2019 with the 2.7 EcoBoost, which is the same engine as in the half-ton," Sabrina says. "It's a pretty snappy performance enhancer!"

That wasn't the only exciting noise that SUVs were making at the auto show. The team had fun getting a close look at the brand new model line for the Ford Explorer.

The Ford Explorer is redesigned in 2020, with a sportier look and enhancements to the rear exterior.

"I think it'll be more appealing to the higher-end SUV drivers," Sabrina says.

The Brand New Ford Ranger

Not surprisingly, one of the main events of the Twin Cities Auto show was the side-by-side comparison of the Ford Ranger next to the Chevy Colorado.

"One of the things the professional trainers pointed out is that the clearance level on the Ranger is higher than on the Colorado," Sabrina says. "It's really nice to have competitive comparisons next to each other."

After being discontinued for many years, we're excited about the new Ford Ranger!

Eide Ford Recognition at the Auto Show

Of 150-200 dealerships, our Eide Ford team drove the furthest to attend the auto show!

In addition to seeing the newest and greatest Ford vehicles, we got to see some stats of how we're doing in the region. That includes Deno Muller being in the top group for customer satisfaction, and Eide Ford being within the top performers of the Ford Pass Connect activations!

We're looking forward to next year's Twin Cities Auto Show! As always, we're your experts for Ford vehicles in Bismarck-Mandan. Contact us today if you have any questions about these new models.
